About the Course
There has been a lot of confusion brought about by failure to differentiate between culture and religion. This course will investigate the similarities and differences between these two practices. The learners will have a chance to appreciate the meaning and origin of different cultures, the changes through time that has affected the perceptions and practices of respective cultures.
This distinctive course allows you to take your passion for culture, heritage and theology, and turn it into a rewarding and sustainable career. Building on the core skills and knowledge embedded in this course, you’ll bring the richness and complexity of culture and heritage alive across its many forms – from the material, to the intangible (spiritual) and the digital.
You’ll explore heritage in a variety of global, social, cultural and political contexts, with a particular focus on Indigenous African cultures.
