With a section of students and university Alumni, ROU management members conducted a series of Philanthropic activities in the southern part of the country. On Monday, 20th September 2021 during the launch of Philanthropic Week, the Founder and Rector of Royal Open University, Dr. Prince Wasajja Kiwanuka called upon the people of goodwill to come up and join the move towards helping to contribute and support destitute students from poor families. He emphasised that the future of this country rest entirely on how we have prepared the next generation.
The weeklong activities are expected to raise funds to support university students in Masaka, Lwengo and Rakai who are orphans, refugees or coming from poor families that cannot manage university dues.
